Whether you collect vintage medical ephemera, or simply are looking for a doctors bag to repurpose into a briefcase, purse, or man bag, this sweet vintage leather doctors bag has you covered.

This is a spacious antique doctors bag with lots of character and charm, made with top grain cowhide leather in the 1920’s. The Emdee Leather Bag by Schell was the premier choice of doctors at this time and this one has survived to live another day.

Manufactured by the Emdee Schell Leather Company in the early 1920’s, this bag has a wonderful patina. One of the handles is broken off (but included) and could easily be repaired. Locking mechanism and fold out interior works fine.

The Schell Leather Company produced leather goods roughly from the late 1800s or early 20th century until the 1980s. The company was founded in Cincinnati by Albert and Charles J. Schell and moved around Ohio as it grew, before finally settling in St. Petersburg, Florida, after its sale.

The bag is approximately 16.5″ long, 7.5″ wide, 6″ deep (open), and 12″ tall (closed)
